ELLE INTERN COMPETITION

I came across this awesome opportunity when doing my daily trawl of my favourite fashion bibles' websites. The chance to gain an internship at Elle: the stuff of my dreams! To apply I had to create a piece of writing 250 words maximum about who I would most like to interview in the fashion industry. I chose someone who has very much inspired me and someone who has undoubtedly had a great input on the trends we see evolving season after season, Louise Wilson OBE, course director of MA Fashion Design at the marvelous institution that is CSM. Here is what I created:
CSM: The place of dreams for every aspiring designer, for every ardent journalist and all the impassioned fashion print enthusiasts, but what is it that makes this institution so legendary and so prestigious? Perhaps it is the stunning back catalogue of graduates who are now predominant names in the business? Maybe. Or is it the fashion mavericks at the helm of each course? Definitely. The person I would most like to interview in this broad, vast industry is Louise Wilson, course director of MA Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins. Wilson’s input and teaching on this course has been imperative in producing so many celebrated designers around the world, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane and Giles Deacon to name a few. Defined by her no nonsense attitude and fully black wardrobe Louise Wilson has had a profuse affect on every fashion enthusiast, whether directly or otherwise but indefinitely, Wilson has undoubtedly shaped the state of fashion as we see it now and how we see it evolving with every trend and every season. I personally regard Louise Wilson as a legend of the game, and obviously many agree and have been deeply impassioned by what Wilson does at CSM , she has honored with an OBE and even received a shout-out from Kanye West to celebrate her birthday at his recent London gig.I believe that behind the success of Central Saint Martins stands Wilson forever cracking her unforgiving whip to create one of the most fascinating fashion institutions in the world.

Any feedback or advice would be wonderful, and please keep everything crossed for me!

To celebrate the delicious end of exams my hero of a Daddy took me out for pizza and Gatsby. I want to solely dedicate this post to the absolutely delectable Leonardo DiCaprio, I am just totes in love with him in general but since watching Gatsby all I want to do is make collages of his beautiful angel face so here is a complimentary collage (sadly I didn't make this one myself) of him from all his finest moments #leolife

Good day. So after watching Clueless (avoiding revision at all costs) I decided to create a hit list inspired by the delicious 90s fashion of the film, combined with a hint of "old skool" Suggs (of Madness fame), probably not exactly what you were expecting to hear but brilliant all the same. Enjoy x xx

WEDDING BELLS!

Hello!
Sorry for my temporary absence, I have been slaving away under the cruel mistress that can only be referred to as A Levels, but this weekend I get a treat, I'm going to my boyfriend's Aunt's wedding...IN A CASTLE. Don't think I can contain my excitement and I am totally expecting to see a magical unicorn in platforms...never mind. So I thought I'd share with you my slightly "Punk Barbie on Acid" outfit, inspired by the Met Gala so here it is, hope you enjoy it.

The Great Gatsby

It's less than a week until The Great Gatsby is set to hit the cinemas in the UK and I really can't contain my excitement. I've been so tempted to trawl through the internet to find all the costumes but I'm trying so hard to stop myself from ruining the most monumental part of the film, which is saying a lot judging by the gorgeously OTT trailers. What could be more luscious than Leonardo DiCaprio dressed in the finest 20's gear? I don't think anything could be more luscious.

Freak of Nature obsession.

So I've got a new found obsession, a clothing label I came across while finding an outfit for my previous post. Freak of Nature Clothing, now where do I even begin to describe the lush clothing, my eyes could barely believe themselves when I first came across the grunge//glam combo clothing, I've been hunting for a combination as perfect as this one for ages and here I have found it. I can finally let out my inner 90's Gwen Stefani with pride in this awesome apparel, perfect for pairing with a beautiful pair of Spice Girls platforms and stomping around town in. So thank you Freak of Nature Clothing for creating my absolute dream (and a beautifully reasonable price) x x x x
