YNOT

Last year I got roped into going to a festival I hadn't heard of before called YNOT. I will admit that at first, before the line-up had been released I wasn't too keen on the idea of going to such a small festival in the middle of nowhere in Derbyshire about 20 minutes away from where I live as I am accustomed to going to Leeds most years and I was convinced that nothing could compare to the ultimate festival. I couldn't have been more wrong, YNOT has so much to offer from dodgems to shisha tents and Italian stonebaked pizza (I lived off that for the weekend), small but mighty. The atmosphere of the festival was so comfortable, the staff (mostly volunteers) so friendly and helpful plus a cracking line up including headliners The Pigeon Detectives, The Wombats and The View and meeting a barefoot Johnny Depp look -a-like outside a giant turtle was definitely the highlight of my weekend. Every year YNOT also casts a poll asking the public what the year’s fancy dress theme should be… This year the rumoured is Alan Partridge, a petition by Wet Nuns on Twitter that set the ball rolling, hashtag alphapapaynot! So if you were umm-ing and ah-ing about whether to get a ticket this year I  will just inform you of a new feature coming to the festival this year (probably the best thing ever)... A ROLLER DISCO. If that isn't gonna swing it for you then I don't know what will as I've already packed a whole array of Marc Bolan-esque sequined catsuits to don with my roller blades.

LC:M

Although it may seem that I am pretty slow on the uptake for this topic the only apology I can offer is the fact that my dearest and long term laptop Frank a few weeks ago decided to pack his bags and go to laptop heaven, and so here I introduce my new friend Howard, this marks the first of my blog posts from Howard!
So anyway as I have been solely on my iPad I have been keeping tabs on the most recent fashion shows but it has been proving a bit of a nightmare to access blogger from safari, 'ave a word Apple!

My favourite of all the LC:M shows was definitely Jonathan Saunders' SS14 collection, I absolutely adored every piece within the line, I can honestly say there is not one thing I didn't fall in love with at first sight. This obviously didn't come as a surprise to me as I always find myself lusting after everything Saunders' creates (not to mention the selection of fascinating models on which he presents his collection.) For me the crowning jewel of this collection was the brash black and yellow polka dot shirts juxtaposed with just as bright and migraine inducing diagonally striped ties, every season I am never ceased to be amazed by Saunders' ability to create  prints and patterns that usually would never be seen together and make them work so fantastically together. Another luscious string in Saunders' inordinately fabricated bow was the canary silk bomber jacket, something so bright and with such a luxurious lustre I believe it could definitely sweep the current neon trend of SS13 under the mat.
The collection can be viewed in full at:

Disco obsession

Today while conducting my daily Instagram trawl I came across something on the luscious Poppy Delevingne's profile that has the potential to make my life complete...Anya Hindmarch's Marano Dancer bag from AW12....basically a disco ball that doubles up as a bag. Need I say more? My two favourite items combined into one super sparkly accessory, although I'm presuming the price tag may be a little bit out of my budget but a girl can dream can't she?! I am definitely going to make sure my parents aware of this super investment piece before my 18th birthday (no chance)
